Mohammed started his professional career with the Kumasi side Barcelona Babies FC and later joined the African Talent Football Academy in the southern Ghanaian town of Nsawam. He made 34 appearances for Valladolid before joining Southampton on 12 August 2020. He agreed terms with Southampton on a four-year professional deal for £10.9 million.
