Monika Sushma Bhadoriya, popularly known as Monika Bhadoriya, is an Indian television actress best known for playing the role of ‘Bawri’ in the popular TV sitcom “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma.”

Monika started her career as a model in 2010 by doing several commercials and print shoots.

She made her acting debut in 2011 by doing a small role in the TV series “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.” After that, she appeared in TV series like “Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?” and “Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein.” In 2013, Monika won the role of ‘Bawri,’ the love interest of Jethalal’s employee Bagha, in the SAB TV series “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.” He gained popularity in the show for his dialogue “Haay! Hey! Galti se mistake ho gayi.” He has also appeared in the Bollywood film “Singham Returns.”

Accusing Asit Modi of wrongdoing
Following Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal’s allegations of sexual harassment against producer Asit Modi, Monika Bhadoriya has come forward and accused her of inappropriate behavior and treating her unfairly. Monika supported Jennifer Mistry’s allegations of harassment by Asit Modi and also revealed that her co-stars Disha Vakani and Munmun Dutta are aware of Jennifer’s situation. Monika stated that Munmun and Asit Modi used to have frequent conflicts. According to Monika, after she left the show in 2019, the production team failed to pay her outstanding dues for three months, amounting to about Rs. 4-5 lakhs, more than a year. While recounting her experience on the sets of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Monika revealed,
They had promised me to raise my fees after six months, but they never did. Wo paise ki beimaani karti hai. Sach mein wo kutte ki jaisa treat karte hain. Unhone mere saath bohot ganda behave kiya hai. And their EP Sohil Ramani is the worst. Bohot badtameez hi wo. Unhone anyway Natttu kaka ko bhi abuse kiya tha.”
He added,
I was traumatized but he only called me seven days after my mother’s death, asking me to report on the set. When I said I was in no condition, his team said, ‘Hum aapko paisa de rahe hai, hum jab chahe aap ko khada hona padega chahe aap ki Mummy admit ho ya koi.’ I went to the set because I had no choice and I would just cry every day. Upar se unka torture and bad behavior bhi karte. They will call me on set an hour before the call time. Itni gundagardi hi unke set pe. He (Asit) said ‘I am God’.”
