Genevienne Rancuret is charged with drunken driving and criminal mischief after police in Billings say she repeatedly drove her car into a rally by members of Israel United in Christ on the sidewalk shortly after 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
“I just saw this white Jeep fly by me and jump onto the sidewalk, right into the crowd that was there,” Jamee Wagenmann, a witness to the shocking vehicle attack, told KTVQ-News. “The first thing I thought was that they lost control and they were in an accident.”
But Wagenmann said the vehicle then turned “into the Albertsons parking lot and then drove right at them from behind, like trying to catch them who weren’t paying attention.
“Screaming. The car honked. It’s chaos,” he said.
Local police said they were still trying to find out what prompted the four-wheeler attack.

“It seems that whatever they said surprised him and he decided to act,” said Lt. Matt Lennick, spokesman for the Billings Police Department, told The Post Monday.
“Didn’t see anything to indicate this was planned long-term or anything. We didn’t know they were coming,” he said. “He happened to be in the area at the same time they were and this escalated.”
Police said Rancuret drove away from the scene but was pulled over by police two hours later and charged.
The department said in a press release posted on Facebook that he was hit with eight counts of felony assault with a weapon, referring to the vehicle, driving under the influence and criminal mischief.
The suspect was booked into the Yellowstone County Detention Facility following the incident.
