Morgan Evans Describes Her And Kelsea Ballerini’s Breakup

It’s been about six months since Evans and Ballerini ended their marriage, and the country music star is finally opening up about her healing journey. Evans recently had an interview with host Bobby Bones on The Bobby Bones Showwhere he said he had focused on his emotions and feelings.
Evans said he realized that the only thing he could fully control was “how you feel and what you do.” The “Kiss Somebody” singer continued, “Thankfully I have good people around to keep reminding me of that and keeping me that way and I’ll always be grateful for that.”
Ballerini also talked about her healing process during a CBS Morning interview in October last year. He said, “A big life decision like that, it’s not something sudden. And there’s a lot that happens before it becomes public. So, I am on my active healing journey. And a big part of it is showing up for this album and showing up for myself like I’ve never experienced.”
His Farewell Song Helped Him Heal
During the interview with Bobby Bones, Evans also talked about his breakup song, “Over for You” which was very helpful in his healing, by being a medium to express his emotions and the emotions of his millions of fans. He talked about how the song’s “level of vulnerability and personal writing” was a big draw for many people who related to it.
The singer said she has since received a “crazy amount of messages and comments” on her social media account, which has been “really great.” Evans said, “Having been through a situation like that, seeing that it’s helping other people through a situation like that, yeah, it’s really a big deal.”
She said being open about her emotions since the breakup has “helped her heal” from her breakup with Ballerini. The 37-year-old also recalled the first time he performed “Over for You” and said, “it felt good to do that and just be honest and not try to cover things up.”
They Divorced After Five Years of Marriage

Evans and Ballerini announced they were ending their marriage in an Instagram post on August 29, after more than five years of marriage. E! News obtained divorce court documents filed by Ballerini, in which the artist cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce filing.
In his Instagram post, the “Peter Pan” artist announced to fans that they have decided to go their separate ways. She wrote, “This is now public record so I want you to hear from me firsthand that I am going through a divorce. This extremely difficult decision is the result of a journey of love, growth, and effort that has finally come to an end.”
Ballerini further wrote that she was grateful for the years she and Evans had together and “looked forward to the next season.” However, Evans doesn’t seem too happy about their split in her own Instagram post. The Australian native wrote, “I am very sad to confirm that after almost 5 years of marriage, Kelsea and I have separated. I wish it was the other way around but unfortunately it didn’t happen.”
Kelsea Ballerini Is Romantically Involved With Chase Stokes

While Evans is still on the road to healing from their divorce, Ballerini has apparently moved on with “Outer Banks” actor Chase Stokes. Rumors of a romance between her and Stokes started after she shared several photos on Instagram, including one of them standing suspiciously during a National College Football Championship game.
Stokes captioned the Instagram post, “lil recap,” and Ballerini commented, “go vols,” referring to another team he supports, which didn’t make it to the Championship. The actor previously confirmed for TMZ that he and Ballerini were involved; however, he did not state whether they were in a proper relationship.
He said, “She is a sweet girl. We had fun and that’s all I’ll say.” The couple was recently spotted together at Robert’s Western World in Nashville and again at LAX airport. At the airport, Ballerini and Stokes were filmed hugging and kissing in escalators and terminals.
