Mulgi Zali Ho is a show is a Marathi language, social-drama-romance genre, serial directed by Shailesh Shirsekar.
The show is about a girl named Sajiri (Mau). When he realized his next child would be a girl, he forced his wife (Mother Sajiri) to take poison because he felt he couldn’t afford to have another daughter because he wanted a son as his heir. As a result of the poison, Sajiri was born mute. Sajiri does all the housework as well as going to the house to sell miles. He does all the work to attract attention and change his father’s sick mentality but all in vain, he continues to be rejected by his father. Then, one day he meets a city boy, Shaunak who remembers him as a child who saved his life from a car accident once. The show will revolve around how he is able to earn his father’s love and express his love for Shaunak.
After a slow TRP start in the first month, the show went on to earn Top 5 TRP ratings in missing Marathi shows and till then it maintained Top 5 ratings every week. Show got first position in Marathi TRP chart in 51st week of 2020 and since then show has always maintained second first kr position. It was well received by the Marathi audience.
Mulgi Zali Ho was released on 2 September 2020. It airs every Monday to Friday, 09:00 pm on Star Pravah and Star Pravah HD and on the Hotstar App.
