Murali Gopi was born on March 4, 1972 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. His father Bharath Gopi is also a good actor and his mother Jayalakshmy is Deputy Director of SBI. Gopi was married to Anjana Pilla, but Anjana died in 2015 after suffering a heart attack. Gopi has two children Gowri and Gowrav. He completed his Post Graduation in Journalism from the Institute of Journalism, Thiruvananthapuram.
Career
In 1995 Gopi started his career as a sub-editor and reporter in The New Indian Express. After that he joined The Hindu as Features Editor, Then he shifted to UAE and worked for Arab-Allied Media, Dubai as chief sub-editor. In 2012 Murali resigned from his post giving more time in the Cinema Industry. Murali started his career in the Film Industry as an actor and singer from the Malayalam film Rasikan. After that Gopi has written scripts for so many movies like Rasikan, Ee Adutha Kaalathu, Kiri Kanan Kiri, Tiyaan, Kammara Sambhavam, (Malayalam) Lucifer.
