Music Producer Jamal Edwards’ Estate Worth Zero At Death, Despite Alleged $10 Million Net Worth

The late Jamal Edwards, who died of a sudden heart attack earlier this year, unfortunately may not have been as rich as people believed him to be.

Fans will recall that Jamal died of cardiac arrhythmia on February 20, at his mother’s home in Acton, London, after using cocaine and drinking alcohol. New information has now been revealed about his financial situation, hinting that he may have died penniless despite his alleged high net worth.

According to figures from the probate office, which the Daily Mail reported, the late music mogul died without stopping despite being allegedly worth between £8 million and £335 million. What’s more, official documents show that he left a gross estate of £45,502.76 which dwindled to nothing after his debts were paid off.

Jamal hired top celebrity lawyer Russells to draw up his will and has pledged his estate to his family, including his mother Brenda, father Patrick, sister Tanisha, two aunts and close friends. He signed the will two years before his death and created a trust fund to share his estate; however, his heirs now get nothing.

The YouTube icon is widely known for creating online music platform SBTV in 2006 and has been credited with helping launch a number of UK music stars, including songstress Jessie J.

Following his tragic passing, many paid tribute to the late entrepreneur, including singers Ed Sheeran and King Charles, who sent personal letters to Jamal’s mother, Brenda, expressing their condolences. King wrote:

“I can only begin to imagine how big and painful he will be in the lives of you and your daughter Tanisha and my heart goes out to you both, more than I can say. I will never forget Jamal’s support and dedication in helping with my Prince’s Trust all these years.”

In September, Brenda and Jamal’s sister Tanisha hosted a star-studded charity night to raise funds for the Jamal Edwards Trust Gala in support of the deceased’s most cherished cause.

The likes of Lewis Capaldi, Jessie Ware and Ed all performed at the event, where friends, family and celebrities gathered to honor Jamal’s memory and promote the charity. Brenda donned custom trainers in tribute to her son, designed with the SBTV logo, while Tanisha’s shoes featured a picture of her brother’s smiling face.

Months after the British star’s death, the “Loose Woman” presenter explained more about the sudden disappearance using a long message that The Blast revealed, confirming that her son had taken drugs before his death.
