I am a working person. And I really like holidays. In June, I went on vacation with my friends. I take off for 3 to 4 days from my office because I need a break to refresh my mind and body. So, we decided to go on vacation and planned to visit Uttarakhand. And it was the best vacation for me and my friends.
My friends and I started our journey from Chandigarh around 4 am. I was so excited that I couldn’t sleep well last night before going on vacation. In the middle of the road, we had breakfast and again rushed to our destination. We reached our destination at 10 am.
After reaching the destination, we decided to book a hotel for us so that we can relax and get rid of fatigue. So, we do the same. I went with one of my friends to start looking for a hotel. My friends who stayed were having fun by the river.
Uttarakhand is a famous tourist destination, where people from different parts of the country come and explore the religious and scenic beauty of the place. Here, it is surrounded by the beautiful range of Himalayan Mountains, the Ganges River flows through many cities of Uttarakhand. It was my plan to visit this place on holidays.
So, my friend and I found an affordable and comfortable hotel to stay at. We booked and headed towards the riverside, where my other friends were present. We spent some time by the river and decided to go to the hotel so we could rest.
After an hour, we had lunch and planned to go out. It’s raining outside, which makes the outdoor scenery more interesting and beautiful. I love the beauty of the mountains, especially in the rainy season. It is a perfect sight to enjoy.
Now, we go to see some popular tourist spots in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. There are many religious temples located in Rishikesh, where we go and take blessings from many gods and goddesses. There is a popular statue of Lord Shiva in the River Ganga, where Aarti is being performed by the priest every day.
The aarti by the river itself is a mesmerizing sight to watch. It gives a lot of peace to our inner soul. We all visited all sightseeing places in rain like Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, etc. This is what we really enjoy. Around 10pm, we came to our hotel after dinner. We are too tired. And then we sleep.
How I Spent My Vacation Essay 200 Words
The next day, I woke up early in the morning and did my daily work. I want to spend time alone by the river. So, I went there and bathed in the holy river Ganges. And after the shower, I felt very lucky and it was an amazing experience for me. After that, I went back to my hotel. Until then, my friends wake up and shower.
We stayed in Rishikesh for 2 days and did many interesting things. River rafting is one of them. We had a great and unforgettable experience while doing white water rafting. Of course, I was scared at first. But my fear disappeared as soon as I entered the boat.
On the 3rd day of my vacation, we decided to visit the Thieves Cave, located in the city of Dehradun, a few kilometers from Rishikesh. And then we rushed to this place. In the meantime, we also enjoyed the beautiful waterfall, where we all bathed. We bide our time there and rushed to the Robber’s Cave.
But unfortunately, we couldn’t enter this natural cave because of heavy rain. It makes us feel bad. But we take it for granted. After that, we had dinner and decided to go back to our place. We returned to Chandigarh around 11 pm.
It was a perfect vacation trip for me because I went with my friends. It took me away from the stressful life for some time. I will never forget this experience of visiting Uttarakhand as it is one of the most elegant and peaceful tourist destinations to visit, especially in June and July.
Why are holidays important?
According to my view, holidays are an important part of our life. Holidays work as a stress reliever for us. The daily routine of life requires a break to rest. This is how vacations are the ideal choice. Holidays are always welcomed and awaited by all. By going on vacation, we find peace and can cherish the memories of all the days well spent for the rest of our lives.
Vacations can help us spend quality time with our loved ones, strengthening bonds and relationships with them. It gives us mental peace. There are many social activities that we can do when we are on vacation. This is what vacation means to me and I often plan to go on vacation, it can be either short or long depending on the free time available. In the end, I can say that the vacation to visit Uttarakhand was the best experience I ever had in my life.
