A naked man fought with a Las Vegas police officer in the middle of a busy street before stealing a police patrol car and crashing — seriously injuring two people.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of a naked man possibly having a mental health crisis in the street near Blue Diamond Road and Buffalo Drive around 11:15 pm on Tuesday.
Video recorded by a nearby driver obtained by KLAS shows an LVMPD officer fighting with the naked man, later identified as 29-year-old Clyde Cabulan, in the middle of the intersection.
The two can be seen struggling and at one point Cabulan knocks the officer’s hat off and forces him to the ground.
The suspect then jumped into a marked Ford F-150 and sped off with lights still flashing, the video shows.

“You got a cop and a naked guy. I thought he was going to be handcuffed and thrown to the ground,” Kyle Even, who filmed the altercation, told KLAS.
He said he was glad the officer was not hit.
After swerving the police vehicle, Cabulan headed north on Rainbow and led police on a chase of more than five miles, according to police.
He then crossed the meridian, drove into oncoming traffic and ran a red light at Hacienda Avenue, crashing into the passenger side of a Ford Explorer.

A 34-year-old woman behind the wheel of the Explorer and a 43-year-old male passenger suffered critical injuries and were taken to the University Medical Center Trauma Unit, police said.
Cabulisan also suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was arrested before also being taken to the hospital.
He faces four charges, according to court documents: robbery, disobeying a peace officer and endangering person/property, grand larceny of a motor vehicle, and battery on a protected person.
Cablisan is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
