Career
In 2008, Nakul did a rap part in one of the songs in the Hindi music album ‘Humsafar’ by KK. While studying at Swarnabhoomi Music Academy, Chennai, he formed a music band ‘CandyFlip Sundae’ with his friends Gouri Ranjit (vocals), Amandeep Singh (lead guitar), Vaibhav Jaiswal (drums), Rohan Rajadhyaksha (keyboards), and Viraaj Saxena (bass).
Later, the group was joined by Rohan Rajadhakshya, a keyboardist who had previously worked with the Indian band Spud in the Box. The genre of this music group is R&B which is integrated with other music genres such as metal, rock and jazz. In the band’s early years, they performed at various club jamming sessions and stage shows.
Later, they got the chance to showcase their talent on TV shows like VH1 Music Diaries and Kappa TV’s Music Mojo.
In 2020, Nakul submitted a musical score of his own creation to participate in a music competition titled the Westworld Scoring Competition.
