Namit Shah is an Indian actor. He has been a part of many Bollywood films and Indian television series as a child actor. He is best known for his role as Kabir Jaiswal in the Disney Channel (India) television series ‘The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir.’

Namit Shah was born on Sunday, October 21, 2001 (age 21 years; in 2022) in Mumbai. He grew up in Mumbai. Namit attended St. Joseph, Malad, Mumbai. He studied at Mithibai College, Mumbai. According to Namit Shah, it was a day at the mall with his parents when he was recognized by a group of directors as he participated in a game organized for children. The directors approached Namit’s parents after they realized that Namit had the potential to become a television actor and Namit’s parents decided to give it a try. In 2009, Namit Shah got his first opportunity to be a part of an HSBC commercial, which was supposed to launch in the United Kingdom; however, the ad was not aired in India. After this, Namit Shah got another chance to share the screen with Indian cricketer, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Namit Shah has appeared in many advertisements.

In 2010, Namit Shah appeared for the first time in a film titled ‘Break Ke Baad’ as Abhay (young). In 2013, Namit Shah made his debut as the lead character in the film ‘Main Krishna Hoon,’ starring Juhi Chawala. He played the role of Krishna, an orphan, for which he was nominated for the Times Best Child Artist Award. The film’s producers, Nandan K. Mahto and Promila Hunter, have worked as a boy and hairdresser, respectively, for many popular Bollywood film stars such as Juhi Chawala, Katrina Kaif, and Hrithik Roshan. Katina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan are also part of the film. Namit Shah made his debut in the film ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ (2013) as (young) Raghuveer. In 2014, Namit was cast as Nikhil Bhardwaj (young) in the film ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ and Vicky in the film ‘Raja Natwarlal.’

According to Namit Shah, he got his first television show ‘Ek Safar Aisa Kabhi Socha Na Tha’ because of the commercials he did. Namit Shah can be seen playing different roles in various soap operas like Shankar in ‘Jeet Jayenge Hum’ (2009), ‘Sapna Babul Ka… Bidai,’ ‘Mata Ki Chowki,’ ‘Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke,’ ‘Fear Files’ (2013-14), Jai Veer in ‘Baal Veer’ (2013-14), Majab Veer (2013-2014), Gold Passie (2013) hoob Ladi Mardani… Jhansi Ki Rani ‘ (2019), and Vivaan in ‘Waghle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey’ (2021).

The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir (2012 – 2013)
The Indian television series aired on Disney channel ‘The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir’ brought more fame to Namit Shah. He is also known as Kabir Jaiswal, the character he played in the series. The show revolves around the lives of the two main characters, Karan and Kabir, twin brothers who live at the Raj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai, where their mother, Preeti Jaiswal, works as an assistant manager. In an interview, Namit Shah spoke about the show and said,
I chose the character of Kabir over other roles in the film simply because I love the original show on the Disney channel. Buds happen only for a few months and when they do, it’s on weekends.”
