Naomi Biden released a lengthy wedding reel on social media Sunday to commemorate the one-year anniversary of her lavish White House wedding.
Biden, 29, the grandson of 80-year-old President Joe Biden, was married a year ago today on the South Lawn of the presidential mansion – the first wedding ever held at the picturesque site.
At 8 minutes and 17 seconds, the video highlights the lavish wedding as it unfolds from inside the White House, out onto the South Lawn where Naomi was walked down the aisle by her father Hunter Biden, then back inside for lunch and then the evening reception.
Throughout the video, Naomi twirls and hugs guests in various white gowns. She gazed out the window and smiled coyly as she held hands with her husband Peter Neal in the 16mm footage — all while music intended to evoke the bond of heart played alongside a toast and tearful speech to the happy couple.
“It’s a great honor to live here, and it’s a great, great debt that I owe to the American people,” the president said in a toast, “But it’s never felt like home until today.”

“Loving someone is learning the song in their heart, and singing it to them when they need it,” said another in his speech.
At several moments in the video, the bride can be seen squinting from a dim view, and the groom, 26, can be seen tucking into his jacket and looking over his shoulder.
Together they cut their towering wedding cake with the help of a stepladder in one shot, and Naomi twirls again in another.
While footage from the 250-guest wedding has been floating around for the past year, the video is one of the first public displays of the event, which aside from the outdoor ceremony has been largely kept under wraps by the Biden family.

Breaking with the tradition of 18 previous weddings held at the White House, the Bidens locked reporters out of the event and gave Vogue access only to a spread that focused on Naomi getting ready and included another photo of her staring out the window.
“We always knew we were going to get married in someone’s backyard,” the president’s eldest grandson told the magazine.
The decision to lock down the press drew criticism from some, who argued the White House was not a private residence and the Biden family had no right to completely bar reporters.
