Naseebo Lal is a Pakistani folk singer. His ancestors belonged to Rajasthan in India. He sings in Punjabi, Urdu and Marwari. He is known for his performances in various stage shows and cultural events in Pakistani stage shows and cultural events. She participated in the Pakistani music show ‘Coke Studio’ in 2016. It was the ninth season of Coke Studio where she sang the song Groove Mera with Aima Baig and Young Stunners. He then appeared in the fourteenth season of the Pakistani music show Coke Studio in 2022 and sang the song Tu Jhoom with Abida Praveen.

Early Life

Naseebo Lal’s forefathers used to sing songs and stage musical performances at public gatherings and weddings. His ancestry belongs to Rajasthan; however, they moved to Pakistan after the partition of India in 1947. His mother was a singer and had knowledge of music, and she used to teach music to Naseebo Lal in his childhood.

Music Education

At a young age, he learned music from Ustaad Lal Khan and Ustaad tabla maestro Tafoo. The song ‘Sun Ve Balori Akh Walia’ from the picture Anwara, released in 1970, was composed by Tafoo. In 1999, Naseebo Lal made his singing debut in the Pakistani film industry when he sang in the Punjabi film Desan Da Raja, produced by Sarvar.

‘Jinda Yaar Juda Ho Jaye,’ ‘Bukkal De Vich Chor,’ and ‘Kundi Na Kharka,’ ‘Meri Phullan Wali Kurti,’ ‘Ronde Ne Nain Nimare,’ ‘Sache Kabhe Moun Marde’ are some of the hit songs sung by Naseebo Lal. He is also known for singing the song ‘Silli Silli Aundi Hawa’ which was previously sung by Indian singer Hans Raj Hans.   • In 2012, in Birmingham, England, Naseebo Lal was invited by The Drum Theater to sing at a concert. This concert gave him world recognition.
  • According to Naseebo Lal, the new and poor singers do not get proper training and opportunities to show their talent to the whole world. That is why, in 2016, Naseebo Lal opened a music academy for underprivileged young singers in Garwastan.
