Natalie Portman joins the list of celebrities who have spoken out about Kanye West’s recent promotion of anti-Semitic rhetoric.
As you know, the rapper started December on a very controversial note when he revived his anti-Semitic rant during an interview with alt-right radio show host Alex Jones on December 1st.
Ye, as he is now known, declared his immense love for the dictator Adolf Hitler while making offensive remarks about the Jewish community that even shocked Jones.

The two-time Golden Globe winner continued, “This hatred must be fought with infinite love for each other. Today, I send extra love to my Jewish friends. And I send my love to all who stand with us against these violent words and actions.”
Portman was candid about her feelings about the anti-semitic rhetoric being spread, calling it “painful and scary to hear.” He ended his statement by writing, “I am deeply grateful to those who continue to speak against antisemitism with us, and against all forms of racism,” before signing his full name.
The post received an outpouring of love and support from fans and colleagues, with comedian Amy Schumer writing, “Thank you.” Actress Kat Fischer added, “Love you.”
Portman didn’t stop at her post, taking to her Instagram Story to share a New York Times article titled, “Unprecedented Rise of Hate Speech on Twitter, Researchers Find,” and a photo of the social media platform’s new owner Elon Musk.
He captioned the Story, “These numbers are horrifying. This is not freedom,” urging his fans to read the article. He also retweeted President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ messages about antisemitism. POTUS, in a tweet from his official account, wrote , “I just want to make a few things clear: The Holocaust happened. Hitler is an evil figure. And instead of giving it a platform, our political leaders should call out and reject antisemitism wherever it hides. Silence is complicity.”

As for Vice President Harris, he wrote, “Praising Hitler and denying the Holocaust is despicable, appalling, and must be condemned. Our administration will continue to oppose antisemitism and the epidemic of hatred.”
Ye Sees ‘Good Things’ In Adolf Hitler
Portman’s recent statement was no doubt in response to the shocking statement Ye made during her interview with Jones. As The Blast reports, the “Donda” rapper expressed praise for the German dictator, crediting him for many innovative inventions.
In his words, “I see good things about Hitler. I love everyone and the Jews will not tell me: You can love us and you can love what we do to you with the contract, and you can love what we reject it with pornography.”
He continued, “But this guy who invented the highway and invented the microphone that I use as a musician, you can’t say out loud that this person ever did anything good. I’m done with that. Every human being has something of value that they bring to the table, especially Hitler.”
Ignoring all possible fact-checking that proved Hitler didn’t actually invent the microphone or the highway, the Yeezy founder proudly declared to all, “I love Hitler,” while slamming the Jewish media for making the world “feel like the Nazis and Hitler did it. never offered us anything of value to the world.”

The rapper also went on to boast about making antisemitism popular. “Nobody in high school knew what antisemitism was until Ye made it popular,” he said. Following the controversial comment, several celebrities reacted including Josh Gad. The comedian is happy that he took to Twitter to share his thoughts.
“It’s not what Kanye West says that scares me. It is that he has 30 million followers who listen to his madness over a cheerleader in the form of the current owner of this platform. No one who says ‘I like Hitler’ should be allowed any oxygen on any social platform (period),” he wrote.
