Naveen Saini made his acting debut in the episodic television series CID in 2001 on Sony television. In 2001, he played the role of Sanjay Basu in the StarPlus show Kasautii Zindagi Kay. Later Naveen appeared in various television shows such as Sindoor Tere Naam Ka (2005), Akela (2006), and Sapna Babul Ka..Bidaai (2007), Hum Phir Milein Na Milein (2009), Samman Ek Adhikar (2011), and Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum (2016).

In 2021, he appeared in the Zee television show Kundali Bhagya where he played the role of Mahesh Luthra. In an interview, she talked about the show Kundali Bhagya and said,
For me the show is very important and the show is written by the writer and the whole team works on it and as an actor we feel it shouldn’t be like that and we discuss it creatively and the director and the actor stay in character and have to be confident with the character and communication is very important between the cast and the team and we have discussions and address it and work on it.”
