Nayana Dasgupta is the wife of Indian journalist and Senior Executive Editor of NDTV India, Ravish Kumar. She is a professor of history at Lady Shri Ram College for Women.

Nayana started her job as a professor of history at Lady Shri Ram College for Women in Delhi in 2006. She taught the history of medieval India to students at the college.
Facts/Trivia
- Nayana and Ravish Kumar first met each other when they were pursuing MA at Deshbandhu College in Delhi. Ravish, who had studied in a Hindi medium school, was not good at English which made it difficult for him to understand the lessons in college. Back then, Nayana used to help Ravish with the language.
- Nayana and Ravish had to face several challenges to convince their parents who were against their love marriage. Reportedly, both of them had to cut ties with their respective families to marry each other. However, their parents accepted their marriage after a few years.
- Ravish Kumar revealed in an interview that Nayana was such a good teacher that he often received lectures on history from her or whenever he needed help.
- Nayana’s main field of research is Cultural History of Medieval Bengal. She has a special interest in aspects of women’s history.
