According to the 43-year-old, who refused to call his ex-fiancé by his first name and referred to him as the father of her children, Ne-Yo stood in his way. Shaw said the pair initially agreed to do the show until Ne-Yo changed his mind a few weeks later, claiming it would hurt his career.

“He was like, ‘No, you know my management said it would ruin my career,'” the social media personality revealed. “And I chose family because that’s what I do, you know, I’m all about family.”

Reflecting on her decision to skip the reality TV program for her then-boyfriend, the Louisiana beauty said she would never do that knowing Ne-Yo would break her heart. Nevertheless, the author of “Keep It Classy” believes that everything goes according to God’s plan.
