Neena Gupta was born on Thursday, June 4, 1959 (age 64 years; in 2023), in Delhi. His zodiac sign is Gemini. He did his schooling from The Lawrence School, Sanawar in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. Later, he pursued MA and M. Phil in Sanskrit from Delhi.

Neena Gupta was born in a Hindu family. His father’s name is Late RN Gupta. His mother, Shakuntala Gupta, died of cancer. He has an elder brother, Pankaj Gupta.
At the age of 16, she married a man from Calcutta who studied from IIT Delhi, but the marriage lasted only two years. While shooting for a TV serial in the 1980s, she met veteran actor Alok Nath. There were rumors that they were engaged, and then broke up.
Later, she started dating Shaarangdev, son of popular Indian classical vocalist Pandit Jasraj. There were rumors that the two got engaged in a private ceremony, but later, they broke up.
In the late 1980s, she began dating West Indies cricket legend Vivian Richards. The couple dated for almost 13 years. He has a daughter with him out of wedlock, who was born in 1989. Neena and Vivian’s daughter is popular Indian fashion designer Masaba Gupta. Although Neena never married Vivian Richards, she is still good friends with him.
In 2002, he met a Delhi-based Chartered Accountant, Vivek Mehra. They met on a flight to Mumbai and instantly connected. Vivek had recently separated from his then first wife. After dating for several years, the couple married on July 15, 2008 in a private ceremony in the US. Neena lives in Mumbai while her husband lives in Delhi.
Career
After completing his acting course from the National Drama School in 1982, he began his career in acting.
He started his career as an actor in the Bollywood film ‘Saath Saath’ in 1982.
In the same year, she came into limelight with the International film ‘Gandhi,’ in which she played the character of ‘Abha.’
Later, she appeared in Bollywood films, such as Mandi (1983), Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron (1983), Rihaee (1988), Swarg (1990), and Drishti (1990).
In 1985, he started acting in Hindi TV series with ‘Khandaan.’ Later, he appeared in many TV serials, including Daddy (1989), Drishti (1990), Saans (1999), Siski (2000), Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin (2004), and Kitani Mohabbat Hai (2009).
In 1991, he made his Malayalam debut with the film ‘Vasthuhara.’
His bold performance in the item song ‘Choli Ke Peeche’ with Madhuri Dixit in the film ‘Khalnayak’ (1993) was one of the chartbusters of the era.

In 1999, he directed the TV series ‘Saans.’ In 2002, she hosted the game show ‘Kamzor Kadi Kaun;’ aired on Star Plus.
