Neha Mehta is an Indian actress who mostly works in Hindi TV serials and Gujarati films. She is best known for playing the role of Anjali Taarak Mehta in the popular Hindi sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ (2008).

Neha K. Mehta was born on Friday, June 9, 1978 (age 45 years; in 2022) in Patan, Gujarat. His zodiac sign is Gemini. He grew up in Vadodara and Ahmedabad. He attended Sheth BM High School in Patan, Gujarat. She pursued a diploma in vocal and drama. She obtained her Master of Performing Arts (MPA) in Indian Classical Dance (Bharatanatyam) at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Gujarat. Later, he got his PhD in Bharatanatyam under Dr Vyjayanthimala Bali.

Controversy
Accused of Unprofessional Conduct
In 2020, he left the Hindi sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ (2008). In an interview, when Neha was asked about quitting the show after working in it for almost 12 years, she said that her dues were due with the makers, and they didn’t pay her dues. He also asked sitcom producer Asit Kumarr Modi to clarify his payment, but he delayed it. He said,
I acted in Mehta’s Taarak as Anjali for 12 years before quitting in 2020. The last six months money is pending. After I quit the plan, I called them several times about my pending payment. I hate to complain… hopefully, there will be a solution soon and I will get my hard earned money.”
Later, in an interview, an official from Asit’s team said that Asit was upset with Neha’s statement and said that Neha had left the show without informing them and stopped answering their calls. The official said that since Neha did not complete the exit formalities, she was not eligible for full and final settlement, and the makers were not satisfied with her unprofessional conduct.
