Nene Leakes Sends Love To Enemy Kim Zolciak Amid Contentious Kroy Biermann Split

NeNe Leakes has nothing but kind words for her nemesis, Kim Zolciak.

The reality star expressed support for her former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-star during her divorce, claiming that Zolciak is struggling to navigate a contentious split with her husband, Kroy Biermann, amid their ongoing financial woes.

NeNe’s Leak Has Made Her Support For Kim Zolciak Public

The leaker has revealed a recent meeting with Zolciak and shared that the “Don’t Run” star expressed having a hard time during her divorce.

“I saw her at a restaurant a few days ago. She said she was having a hard time,” the 56-year-old said before explaining that despite the challenges, Zolciak “looked great,” and their interactions remained positive. In his words:

“Other than that we just keep it positive. No one wants to see a family torn apart. There are children involved.”

Going further with his support for Zolciak, Leakes told TMZ that she hopes her old friend and her now-estranged husband “can find out if it’s together or apart. Because your happiness and peace are the most important.”

Disregarding any past animosity, Leakes had more positive words for Zolciak, complimenting her on her petite figure and expressing admiration for her looks. The television personality’s glowing words come more than a year after she took legal action against the creators of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” for allegedly creating a hostile work environment.

The lawsuit, filed in April 2022, names Bravo, NBC Universal, True Entertainment, Truly Original and “RHOA” executive producer Andy Cohen as defendants. Leak claims in court documents that he raised concerns about racist remarks from Zolciak but faced consequences for speaking out.

She recalled an incident from the first season when the housewives planned to attend a barbecue, and Zolciak said, “I don’t want to sit around with NeNe and eat chicken,” a statement characterized as an “offensive stereotype of African-Americans.”

The “Glee” alum made another allegation against Zolciak in the lawsuit, pointing to an incident in the fifth season when the latter referred to housemate Kandi Burruss’ new home as a “ghetto.” Additionally, during an argument during the same season, Zolciak allegedly used the N-word to address Leak.

Leakes added that his ongoing complaints about racism led to his forced exit from the show in 2020, just before the 13th season. She claimed that the production company tried to sideline her from speaking out about Black Lives Matter, which was gaining momentum at the time.

According to The Blast, the suit stated at the time, “As the Black Lives Matter movement sweeps our country, Mrs. Leakes — the most successful black female talent in Bravo history — should be embraced by NBC, Bravo, and True. Instead, NBC, Bravo, and True forced him out of ‘the house he built,’ denying him a permanent role.”

Some Housewives Disagree With Leaked Allegations About Addressing Racist Comments

Although it took more than a month after Leakes began legal action against Bravo and other networks involved in “RHOA,” Zolciak chose to address the situation. That moment came when the franchise’s original housewives reunited for a special episode of “OWN’s The Nightcap” hosted by Carlos King.

While Zolciak, along with Shereé Whitfield, DeShawn Snow, and Lisa Wu, were all in attendance, Leakes, whose lawsuit prevented him from participating, was absent. During the reunion, King, a former producer of the show, brought up Leakes’ claims and asked Zolciak for her opinion on the allegations.

“I mean, he knows what he’s saying isn’t true about me. That didn’t make sense, and he knew it. So, I will deal with him when he is done with them,” he replied.

Another housewife who has publicly disputed Leakes’ allegations of racism is Burruss, who said, “Actually, I don’t agree… Everyone can have their own opinion. I disagree,” during a March 2022 appearance on “The Clay Cane Show.” He continued:

“You can’t brag about getting paid the most out of anyone and then say they didn’t treat you right. I know, a lot of women, especially at that time – now we get a lot of new people, it’s not as many of us that stay on the show – but at that time, we still had like, four or five of us, that had been there for momentarily, making very good money.”
