Legendary “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum NeNe Leakes is addressing some family drama involving her eldest son Bryson Bryant.
Earlier this month, police found drugs on Bryant, prompting him to be arrested and charged with drug possession.
Although she was later released, she was arrested again after pretending to be her half-brother, Brentt Leakes, who NeNe was with the late Gregg Leakes.
NeNe Leakes’ Eldest Son Was Charged With Drug Possession And Misdemeanor Charges
According to court documents, the TV icon’s son was arrested for possession of Fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance. The crime is said to have happened around 1am in Lawrenceville, Georgia. In addition, the accused was hit with misdemeanor charges, mainly for “loitering.”

According to a police statement, Bryant was at the address cited, “evading police and claiming he knew the people living at the residence, which was false.”
During questioning, he was asked his name, which he lied to the police that it was Brentt, his younger brother. Because of that, some of the first reports in the case had the 24-year-old’s name. Meanwhile, jail records show that Bryant was taken to the Gwinnett County Jail at around 2:36 a.m., even though the booking sheet had him recorded under the name Brentt.
The 33-year-old man also gave a false address to the officer when making the booking by naming the house his mother sold a few years ago. Bail was set at $5,900, and Bryant was released at 12:20 p.m. Unfortunately for the accused, he was re-arrested and is now in jail with more charges added to his offense. Based on newly filed documents obtained by Radar Online, listing the defendant as “Bryson Rashad Bryant” with a date of birth of “12/26/1989,” prosecutors include charges of “giving a false name, address or date of birth to a law enforcement officer .”
Bryant is no rookie when it comes to breaking the law, as he has also been accused of violating probation in other cases. He will appear in court later this month. This marks the second family drama NeNe will experience involving her son.
A few months ago, Brentt tried to go viral on TikTok with a message hinting that he might be gay while jumping on a challenge that involved him throwing crumpled paper into a trash can. The video with the caption “If I Miss, I’m Gay” sparked fan speculation about the entrepreneur’s sexuality.

In a second video update, the reality star’s son is filmed looking healthy and walking towards her in a hospital hallway with people clapping in the background.
The next post features Brentt walking towards the hospital elevator without help, which NeNe excitedly notes as she praises God for the miracle. Another post by Story confirmed her son was “walking and talking” before she declared “Nothing but God” across from another photo showing her looking down at an unconscious Brentt lying in a hospital bed with wires attached to him.
