In legal documents, the court explained that Cardi, Offset and other parties listed in Giovanni Arnold’s 2018 assault lawsuit will join the mediator for their first virtual session.

The drama between Cardi and the autograph hunter began in May 2018 after she attended the Met Gala with her husband, Offset.

As they leave the star-studded event, Arnold tries to get an autograph, but three male attackers attack him.

A video taken at the time shows the alleged attack; however, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper claims that Arnold can be heard on tape verbally attacking him and Offset after failing to get their autographs.

In his court documents, he said the autograph hunter could be heard shouting: “Please hit me. I’ll take all your money.”

He also denied any involvement in the attack, insisting that the men who attacked Arnold did not work for him, nor did he order them to attack him.

Cardi’s battle against autograph hunters wasn’t her only assault drama, as she clashed with a security guard in 2018. She was accused of assaulting Emani Ellis; however, he claimed self-defense.

According to the “Up” hitmaker, his actions were “reasonably necessary” to protect himself from “attack.” The case continued last year when she filed to have her past as a stripper thrown out of court.

Cardi believes Ellis can use it to turn the jury against her by including arguments based on her past. There was another alleged altercation between the rapper and another party, which he feared would be used by security guards against him.

The alleged assault occurred on February 24, 2018, when a pregnant Cardi visited her obstetrician’s office for a scheduled appointment. Ellis had worked as a security guard for the shoot; however, the rapper reportedly asked her to stop.

It’s unclear how things got so bad, but Ellis claims Cardi “scratched him with her fingernails, yelled racial slurs at him and spit on him.” The alleged victim did not have photos of his injuries, nor did he seek medical attention, according to court documents.

However, Ellis claims he suffered “physical, emotional and psychological damage” as a result of the alleged altercation. The alleged encounter is said to have lasted no more than sixty to ninety seconds.
