Authorities have released previously unseen footage showing Tupac Shakur shortly before he was gunned down in Las Vegas in 1996 – as well as images of the bullet-riddled car in which he was killed while driving.
The material was shown last week to the grand jury that indicted Duane “Keefe D” Davis on a charge of murder with a deadly weapon in the gang’s rise in the death of the rap and cultural icon.
Prosecutors announced the charges Friday after Las Vegas police arrested Davis near his home in Henderson, Nevada.
KLAS obtained video of Shakur and Death Row Records co-founder Marion “Suge” Knight leaving the MGM Grand after a fight with members of the South Side Compton Crips – which included Davis and his nephew, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson.

The fight broke out over a gang linked to Darah Knight, the Piru Mob, police said.
Photos obtained by the outlet also show Knight’s bullet-riddled BMW that Tupac was a passenger in when it stopped at a red light at Flamingo Road and Koval Lane, a block from the Strip, and a white Cadillac pulled up next to it.
The shooter fired multiple shots into the car in the seconds before the Cadillac sped off, leaving Shakur critically wounded with four gunshots, including two in the chest.
One photo shows where the rapper was sitting during the attack.

On Friday, Las Vegas police showed a diagram of the vehicle Davis was in, showing Anderson and a third man, Deandre Smith, in the back, according to KLAS.
Members of the South Side Crips gang testified that Smith killed Shakur, according to the outlet. Both Anderson and Smith are deceased.
The grand jury was also shown four autopsy photos of Shakur, including a close-up of the bullet wound, the news station said, adding that photos from the autopsy were first leaked to reporter Cathy Scott in 1997.

It was published in his book, “The Killing of Tupac Shakur.”
On Monday, Knight told TMZ in a jailhouse interview that he believes officers have charged the wrong person — saying he “1,000%” will not testify against Davis.
A key witness said he was “shocked” by the arrest of the former gang member, who has repeatedly discussed his apparent knowledge of Shakur’s murder in books and interviews.

The 58-year-old, who is serving a 28-year sentence for manslaughter involving a hit-and-run crash in 2015, also said he rejected long-standing theories that Davis’ late nephew, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, was the shooter.
“There were only two people in the car, and ‘Pac wouldn’t have been able to tell the story, I wouldn’t have told the story,” Knight said.
