In August 2022, she made headlines for winning the 2022 Miss California US Nation Pageant. The sophomore also won the Miss San Jose US Nation Pageant that same year.
“I am grateful to all the people I have in my life who make me happy and support me. And I am grateful that I can now speak out and influence the stereotypes and stigmas in the pageant and modeling world,” said Dragoi.
She added, “This achievement means a better version of myself because I learn a lot of new things from every competition, every girl, every different culture, and ultimately new experiences.”
