Actor who is also famous for his role in Nickelodeon Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide shared that she was basically fired from the popular teen drama blaming herself for falling into a “stupid cycle” where she “doesn’t look good too skinny,” but when she gained weight, she “couldn’t stand being overweight.”
Then he jumped into the revelation that he had a drug problem. “When I’m having a drug problem and I’m in between working on something, you know, I don’t have to, like, deal with my relationship with food because I’m always like, ‘Oh, I can always get more Adderall and be good with it,'” so it’s very difficult.”

The actress realized how great she was playing Paige McCullers Pretty Little Liars and took advantage of that by using drugs before being fired. He described it as “a whole season of using” drugs.
She claims that all of this stems from her trying to take care of her body but overdoing it. It’s disgusting,” she revealed. “Taking care of your body can make you go in all different directions, from plastic surgery to drugs to holding any kind of dirt.”
In one of the more important moments, he “gave everything [she] cares,” and believes this is what prompted I. Marlene King to stop working with him. He recounts the moment for the listeners.

They say the business is cutthroat but King is coming in pretty hot and maybe right.
“It’s very bad. I was called into the ‘Pretty Little Liars’ creator’s office, and he was just like, ‘So, we’re going to let you go.’ He was like, ‘It’s not because of your acting.’ He was like, ‘Do you have anyone to talk to?’ And I was like, ‘Um, no.’ And he’s like, ‘Well, find someone, and we’ve got to let you go now.”
She and her co-star Shay Mitchell share a nutritionist and she often finds herself comparing herself to Mitchell. “He brought me protein powder … and he was like, ‘Girl,'” she recalled. “Yes, it was awful.”
She’s not bitter though, the 10 Things I Hate About You star is actually grateful and notes that the whole process was handled “very carefully.” Thankfully, he was brought back for the show’s final season.

She admitted that she “cried harder” during her final episode in Season 5 than she had “in six years alone.”
He describes one of the scenes. “The scene was just us [Shaw and Mitchell’s characters] saying goodbye at the airport,” he added. “In the end, when it was over, we just hugged each other and let it be what it was, but my God, I’m so grateful for the set and for the character and for Shay.”
He continued. “They did me right by bringing me back for Season 7 and just letting me say goodbye. Like, I’ll never forget it,”
Shaw is now in a better place and she is “so happy” and enjoying “so much” about her body today.
