Will Nico Be The Next Great Quarterback?
Nico Iamaleava, a true freshman quarterback from Tennessee, had a big win in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl. Iamaleava took the stage with a smile after his Tennessee team beat Iowa 35-0. In the win, he completed 12 of 19 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions. In addition, he scored three rushing touchdowns. By playing a clean game against Iowa’s defense, the 19-year-old has shown maturity beyond his years. After seeing Iamaleava’s amazing performance, fans on social media couldn’t contain their excitement.
Some predict he will be Tennessee’s next star quarterback. It’s possible, considering Iowa’s defense is rated third in the nation, allowing an average of 13.2 points per game and ranks fifth with 274.8 yards allowed per game.
