After ten years of marriage, Bam Margera and Nicole Boyd divorced. From 2007 to 2012, Margera was married to Melissa “Missy” Rothstein. Boyd has filed for divorce due to their ongoing irreconcilable differences. According to court documents, Boyd has requested full custody of their child and permission for Margera to visit him at times. Nicole also asked Bam to pay her husband’s alimony and legal expenses.
Boyd’s attorney, David Glass, recently spoke with People. He said that his client chose to end the marriage because Bam’s addiction to drugs and alcohol was getting worse to the point of not being able to support him and his family. Glass went on to say:
“Nikki has invested everything she has into making sure Bam stays clean and keeps her family.”
The couple has long faced challenges as a result of Bam Margera’s involvement in various legal problems and events in rehab in 2022. Boyd told People in a statement that she expects her husband to get clean by returning to treatment.
Bam Margera has been engaged twice before.
Bam Margera was initially engaged to Jenn Rivell, with whom he worked several times. The couple divorced in 2005, and things took a turn for the worse when Margera accused Rivell of breaking into her home. Margera said she is scared and doesn’t know what Rivell will do next when she appears in Chester County Court of Common Pleas for a ruling on a protection from abuse hearing. Margera described an incident in October 2005 in which Rivell jumped over a fence and crashed into a back door. He went on to say:
“It was about 4am about a year before the October event… He jumped over the fence and kicked the door. He got mad at me and claimed I shouldn’t have ended our relationship.”
Margera said that when she and Rivell broke up, the latter destroyed some of her belongings and that she had been assaulted before. Bam married Melissa “Missy” Rothstein in 2007 after getting engaged in 2006. The wedding was also featured in Bam’s MTV series Unholy Union. The couple’s divorce was finalized in 2012.
