Nikki Haley turns down marriage proposal from Trump voter at New Hampshire rally

Nikki Haley got an unexpected question at a New Hampshire rally on Monday when a pro-Trump jester interrupted her speech to ask: “Will you marry me?”

The GOP presidential candidate, 52, was talking to supporters at the Artisan Hotel in Salem about what’s at stake in the upcoming election the night before the New Hampshire primary, when the man yelled impromptu marriage proposals from the crowd, prompting laughter. Hayley.

Without missing a beat, the former South Carolina governor, who is married to Major Michael Haley, responded to the offer by asking her suitor if she would vote for him.

“I voted for Trump,” the man replied after a pause, drawing jeers from his fellow attendees.

“Oh, get out of here!” An unimpressed Haley replied

Haley is desperate for a win in New Hampshire, where she is the only Republican running against Donald Trump, 77, after Florida Governor Ron DeSantis suspended his campaign last week.

When DeSantis dropped out of the primary race after finishing second in the Iowa caucuses, ahead of Haley, he endorsed the former president — and attacked Haley, claiming that she represented “a reheated form of corporatism.”

Trump, 77, has maintained a wide lead over Haley in New Hampshire in most polls, thanks to a 30-point victory in Iowa.
