Nina Dobrev proved that she’s more than just a pretty face when she dared to swim with sharks in July 2022. The 35-year-old actress made headlines that summer for revealing that she used to be afraid of sharks, but she proved that she’d more rather than overcome the fear by diving into the water and getting close to them personally. In an Instagram video that’s gotten lots of fan love and celebrity approval, Nina flaunts her toned figure in a tight rashguard top and skimpy bikini bottoms, also sharing her thoughts in a lengthy caption.
Swim With Live Sharks
Scroll for video. Ditching the glam look as she went makeup-free and greeted fans from the boat before her dive, Nina showed off her toned legs as she rocked blue-and-white striped swimsuit bottoms, paired with a practical black dive top.
Making sure to wear his mask and a sturdy pair of fins, Vampire Diaries The star was seen swimming freely through the waters and with a large tiger shark, then finally flipped out while returning to the boat.

In the caption, the brunette opened: “TIGER SHARK ?❤️ If you’ve been following me for a while, you know how much I love free diving with sharks. I used to be so afraid of them that I went into the water to try to overcome my fear.”
Nina added that it was only after getting in the water with the sharks that she realized how “disinterested” they are towards humans.
“Since then, I’ve been in the water with so many types of sharks, and it’s been a dream of mine to swim with Tiger sharks in particular, which I FINALLY got to do with @oceanramsey & @juansharks. there were 3 Tigers in the water that day. Roxy who is a 14 foot tiger shark is very friendly. notice we are not in a cage. noticed,” he continued.
Saying Humans Are Murderers
Moving away from conquering her fear and talking about animal rights, Nina then voices her disgust at sharks being hunted and killed.
“Humans are brutally hunting and killing these beautiful sharks minding their own business. For what? For sports, prize money and bragging rights. It disgusts me. It saddened me to see their bodies washed up on the sand after they were thrown back into the water to drown. WE (humans) are ruthless KILLERS,” wrote the brunette.
The post has now topped over 800,000 likes. It also got a like from 55-year-old actress Jennifer Aniston.
Stunning In A Glam Strapless Dress
Moving away from all things ocean, Nina surprised fans with this Instagram photo of herself flaunting her toned figure in a strapless Oscar de la Rent gown for a high-profile night out. “Last night was gold,” she wrote, shouting gold out of her gown.
