Nirmala Channapa or Nirmala Chennappa is an Indian actress, director, and producer who mostly works in the Kannada film industry. She is famous for playing the role of ‘Jaya’ in the Kannada film “Thallana” (2012).

Nirmala Channapa was born on Sunday, 21 June 1987 (age 34 years; in 2021) in Bangalore. His zodiac sign is Cancer. Nirmala holds a Master’s degree in Art, Social Work & Drama. He was good at sports since childhood and was a Kabaddi player in his school days. During the PU holidays, someone advised him to attend an acting workshop. Although she had never thought of acting before, she decided to attend a theater workshop with Benaka TS Nagabharana’s theater troupe. There, he studied various forms of theater and was seen as the best actor in the workshop. Soon, Benaka offered him to join their group. He then went to Rangayana for a three-month training in acting.

Career
Nirmala started her career as a theater artiste and did around 14 to 15 plays. She didn’t want to limit herself to acting, so she took on stage lighting and design and make-up duties as well. Slowly, he started working as an artist and theater technician. Nirmala Channapa made her debut in 2012 with the Kannada film “Thallana” where she played the role of ‘Jaya.’

After that, she appeared in the Kannada films “Jigarthanda” (2016) and “Kiragoorina Gayyaligalu” (2016). She has also been a part of Kannada TV serials like “Kicchu” (2018) and “Parvati Parameshwara” (2014). In 2021, he participated in the reality TV show “Bigg Boss Kannada 8.”

Apart from being an actor and theater artist, he is also an entrepreneur who founded the production company ‘Sai Nirmala Productions.’ Nirmala worked as a creative director for the TV series “Padmavathi” (2018), produced under her production house.
