The “679” rapper went before a Long Island federal judge Wednesday along with five others accused of driving to Long Island about six times in the spring of 2020 to buy kilograms of cocaine. The drug was then sold on the streets of New York and New Jersey.
Fetty Wap, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, is accused of personally distributing 25 kilograms of the drug in Jersey alone. In August, he pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess and distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine.
He faces a minimum of five years and a maximum of 40 years in prison for the crime, so he was pretty lucky to get six years.

Last week, federal Judge Joanna Seybert recommended 7 to 9 years for the 31-year-old rapper. He claimed he was a “large-scale narcotics dealer” who “continues to use his fame, considerable platform and influence to drive the drug trade crazy.”

They used his music as an example and specifically mentioned his hit “Trap Queen,” which Fetty has said in the past was about an ex-girlfriend who helped him deal with drugs in Paterson, NJ, where he grew up.

Meanwhile, Fetty’s lawyer Elizabeth Macedonia has stated that her client has taken “full responsibility for his crimes.” by pleading guilty and should be considered for a minimum sentence.
Why Fetty Wap Handles Drugs?

Fetty had some hits, didn’t he? Like we’re not crazy, he’s had a few songs go viral, toured, and has a career on the rise. How did he go from that to this? According to his lawyer, his lifestyle is difficult to maintain.
He told the court that Fetty was motivated to provide for his family and friends. Let’s remember that the “My Way” rapper has eight children under the age of 18, and during the epidemic, he was unable to tour, where he earns most of his money.
Dealing is the answer. Fetty was arrested in October 2021 and is being held on $500,000 bond. Unfortunately, he broke his terms and ended up in jail until his court date.
Fetty Wap Threatens To Kill Someone

Wrong move to make while you’re on probation, duh! It was no ordinary empty threat either. He flashed a gun on FaceTime and threatened a man identified only as John Doe. He continued to call the man a “rat” and repeatedly verbally risked his life.
“Imma kill you and everyone with you,” one of the threats allegedly said, and according to an affidavit filed in 2021, he repeatedly told the man, “I’m going to kill you.” Fetty’s lawyer tried to explain the situation when he shared with the Feds that John Doe had set up his client.
A few days earlier, she had posted a photo of Fetty Wap’s 4-year-old daughter and wrote, “I’m glad she’s dead because her father is a rat.” Since he’s been locked up since the threat, the rapper’s sentence may include time served in prison.
