An Ohio man was arrested after a Jewish woman shared Ring footage of someone ringing her doorbell only to say, “You Zionist pigs disgust the king.”
Jacob Thomas Reidy was arrested at his Bexley home late Monday after his vehicle was linked to antisemitic incidents at at least two homes Sunday — and he was already being monitored for similar antisemitic hate speech, according to a police report obtained by Fox 28.
Footage viewed nearly 3 million times by Tuesday after it was shared by StopAntisemitism showed a bearded man in a beanie, dark jacket and jeans bending down to speak to the Ring camera in one of the incidents.
“So I’ve never used one of these,” said the man, to which the woman replied warmly, “Yes, yes, go ahead – what can I help you with, sir?”
The caller then approached, saying, “You Zionist pigs disgust the king” — pausing to continue staring into the doorway while chewing on a toothpick.
Homeowner Debbie Meyer said she was sure she was targeted because she had an Israeli flag outside.

“I was shocked,” Meyer told NBC 4. “I didn’t expect that at all, and I immediately hung up.
“He was probably here for maybe 15, 30 seconds but he was walking slowly down the driveway.”
Another homeowner who was displaying an Israeli flag reported the same incident, according to Fox 28.
Authorities were able to identify Reidy because they had been monitoring him for several days, according to the police report.

A detective on special duty at the synagogue said he had earlier seen Reidy drive by, shouting out his car window about Israel following Hamas’ surprise attack on the Jewish state on October 7, Fox 28 reported.
Reidy was on public property and not involved in any illegal activity, but police took down his license plate anyway.
Reidy was charged with criminal trespass and is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Meyer said he will not give in to fear – and will continue to fly the Israeli flag outside his home.
“I will continue it as long as Israel is safe and this war is over, maybe even longer,” he told a local NBC affiliate.
“Am yisrael chai,” he added in Hebrew, which roughly translates to “The people of Israel will live on.”
