Ohio woman shopping for Thanksgiving came face to face with Walmart shooter: ‘Lucky to be alive right now’

An Ohio woman died while shopping for Thanksgiving supplies at Walmart.

Alisha Ring was left crying outside a Walmart in Beavercreek, a suburb of Dayton, Monday afternoon after running out of the store where a male shooter wounded four people.

“I was literally just shopping for Thanksgiving stuff and this guy walked past me with an assault rifle and started shooting,” Ring said in an emotional Facebook Live.

“I’m so lucky to be alive right now, he literally walked past me,” she sobbed. “How do people do things like this?”

After the man – who has not been identified by police – started shooting in the freezer compartment, Ring said he heard gunshots and started running for the nearest exit.

“All I heard was gunshots over and over again,” he said. He estimated the gunman, who then killed himself, fired about 12 to 15 shots.
