The former NFL player, now a sports commentator, recently congratulated the CEO of “Tesla” on his successful purchase of the social media platform and made a big request from the new owner.
The controversial tv personality became a media sensation after he was accused of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend, Ron Goldman, in 1994. However, the worldwide story took a shocking turn in 1995 when a jury acquitted him of all charges. .
However, along the line, a civil trial was conducted and found him responsible for their deaths. He was later ordered by a different jury to pay a total of $33.5 million to the victim’s family.

Simpson posted a video on Twitter Last Thursday, congratulated Musk for taking over Twitter and further expressed his claim to the famous billionaire.
The sportscaster, wearing a blue zip-up jacket, began by saying, “Hey Twitter world, it’s me, yours. Let me start today by congratulating Elon Musk for taking over Twitter. Maybe I can be verified. Maybe I can get a blue check,” tagging the account that oversees Twitter’s verification policy.
He continued his speech by complaining about the number of accounts impersonating his own, @TheRealOJ32. He stated, “I’ve been trying for years to get that blue check because there are so many fake OJ Simpson accounts,” before adding, “There’s a bunch of them, and every now and then, people will say, ‘Why did you say this ?’And I’d say, ‘I didn’t say that. That’s one of those fake accounts.'”
He concluded optimistically by saying, “a lot of people are probably dealing with that, so maybe that’s going to end.”
Simpson is known to regularly post commentary on sports and current events in videos on his Twitter account and has amassed a large following of over 800,000 followers. However, the microblogging app has yet to verify his account.

Unfortunately for the former footballer, many Twitter users did not speak up and wasted no time expressing their displeasure and disapproval of seeing him speak freely and express his feelings.

One very angry individual said, “Dude just carried on like nothing happened. I bet he put the memory so far back that he can’t find it. I bet if he did a healthy dose of shroom, the memory would be intense.”

The self-made billionaire who may have granted OJ’s request acquired the social media app after a post-legal battle with his high-ranking executives.
Per The Blast, Musk, after acquiring ownership of Twitter, first fired the app’s CEO, Parag Agrawal, and CFO, Ned Segal.

He began acquiring Twitter shares earlier this year and later offered to buy Twitter outright, for $54.20 per share, which sent shockwaves through the tech and business worlds.

However, the CEO of “Tesla” later tried to withdraw from the agreement and was sued by the managing director of the application. However, after exhausting back-and-forth between Musk’s representatives and Twitter’s board of directors, he bowed out to acquire the widely used app.
