Olivia Wilde & Harry Styles Avoid Each Other At ‘DWD’ Premiere In NYC, Is Trouble Brewing?

Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles avoided each other like the Black Plague at the premiere of “Don’t Worry Darling” in New York City.

So, that begs the question … is there trouble in their paradise?

The couple has really kept their relationship out of the public eye, except for a few paparazzi photos here and there.

During the Venice Film Festival, the couple made sure there was at least one person different from each other in their co-star line-up.

They barely interacted on the red carpet and it looks like they brought the same energy to NYC, except this time they did a sneak attack interaction.

Florence Pugh & Chris Pine Skip ‘DWD’ NYC Premiere

The premiere for ‘DWD’ was held on Monday, September 19, in New York and the entire cast except Chris Pine and Florence Pugh showed up.

Nick Kroll, Gemma Chan, Sydney Chandler, Douglas Smith, Asif Ali, Dita Von Teese, Kater Berlant and screenwriter Katie Silberman joined Styles and Wilde on the carpet.

There was behind-the-scenes drama between Pugh and Wilde, and Styles was accused of spitting on Pine at the VFF.

Styles and Wilde kept their distance from each other while walking the red carpet at the AMC Lincoln Square Theatre.

The pair had a moment of interaction on the carpet, and they sat on opposite sides of the panel during the Q&A session.

The Q&A portion was streamed to IMAX theaters across the country.

The reason for Pugh’s absence was due to his “Dune 2” filming schedule. He and Pine recorded a message to fans explaining why they weren’t there.

“Even though I work halfway around the world,” Pugh said about filming”Sand dunes 2,” with Pine adding, “and I myself am in Los Angeles in production.”

Pugh continued, “We didn’t want to miss this opportunity to say thank you for coming to experience ‘Don’t Worry Dear’ in IMAX.”

Wilde directed and starred in the phycological thriller that hits theaters on September 23.

There was a TON of drama surrounding the film from beef between cast members to Shia LaBeouf publicly calling Wilde a liar.

Last month, the actress turned director told Diversity why he decided to fire LaBeouf from the film.

“I say this as someone who greatly admires his work. The process does not fit the ethos I demand in my production. He has a process that, in some ways, seems to require combative energy, and I personally don’t believe it lends itself to the best performances,” explained Wilde. “I believe that creating a safe and trustworthy environment is the best way to motivate people to do their best work. Ultimately, my responsibility is to the production and the actors to protect them. That’s my job.”

Not long after Diversity published this interview, the “Honey Boy” actor denied Wilde’s claims.

LaBeouf claims HE STOPPED the movie, not the other way around.

He also shared two emails Wilde sent on August 24 and 25 that outlined his rejection.

LaBeouf wrote, “You and I both know why I quit. I quit your movie because of your cast and I couldn’t find time to rehearse.”

However, Wilde stood by his word and insisted HE was the one who let it go.

“My responsibility is towards him [Florence Pugh]. I’m like a mother wolf. Making calls was difficult, but in a way he understood. I don’t think it will be a process he enjoys,” he said. “He comes at his work with an intensity that can be aggressive. Not the ethos I demand in my production. I want him to heal and grow because I think it’s a great loss to the film industry when someone so talented can’t work.”

LaBeouf simply responded to his claims, “It is what it is.”
