Omi Vaidya started his acting career with his debut film ‘Rolling’ (2007) where he played the role of ‘Assar.’ His role as “Chatur Ramalingam” or “The Silencer,” in the movie ‘3 Idiots,’ (2009) is one of his most appreciated performances. When I was planning my trip back to America, a friend of mine who was involved with 3 Idiots told me about the role they were auditioning for NRI Actors. Since I neither speak Hindi nor watch Bollywood Movies, I am not interested in auditioning. Also, the role hasn’t been written yet. At the audition, I had to say a line from the movie Lage Raho Munna Bhai. I was very brave and nonchalant when I said those words mainly because I didn’t think I would get the role. I was offered the role when I returned from the audition.”
