Legal documents obtained by TMZ show that the rapper did not pay after he took money from the Brand in 2018 and reneged on the agreement. In 2020, he agreed to a $350k judgment but since he wasn’t the only party involved, they agreed to only take $39k from the rapper as long as everyone else paid.
The remaining amount was $311k something the rapper laughed off TMZ mention it to him. He told the publication “that’s funny”. He didn’t say what was so funny, but the amount of money was nothing to laugh at.

The reason the deal went south was that the rapper was in jail. Fans will recall that Tekashi69 was arrested in 2018 and charged with various charges including robbery and discharging a firearm.
At the moment, the rapper is definitely in denial as he seems to still be making long-term deals including his successful one with the fast fashion brand. They advanced the rapper $225k to cover the brand’s promotion but he never got around to it.

The rapper apparently told Fashion Nova at one point that he plans to pay the money back, we’re assuming when he gets out of jail. However, he has been out for some time now and doesn’t seem to be making any effort to repay the advance.
Now, the rapper is partying and living his best life after nearly going to federal prison for life. While fans are still trying to figure out how she beat the accusations (just kidding, we know), Fashion Nova wants to restore what they advanced to her.

The deal he reached was set and bounded by serious legal jargon so the idea that he wouldn’t have to pay the fashion brand back is absurd. However, we’ll admit he couldn’t have predicted that he’d end up in jail just two weeks later.
Tekashi69 better hope his co-defendants take their share of the cash. They include booking and entertainment companies involved with the deal. Fashion Nova initially sued the rapper for 2.25 million.
We know he’s got it, he’s always holding wads of cash to his ear.
