Fans are in for a real treat from the upcoming third season of “Just Murder in the Building”!
Two crew members have teased that the hit show’s stars Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez may have a musical episode in the upcoming season. This is all the more reason for fans to be anticipating its premiere as it already has appearances from several famous Hollywood stars, including Meryl Streep, Jesse Williams and Paul Rudd.

Although there are no official details yet, heavyweight music composer Shaiman hinted at a possible musician episode in “OMITB” season 3. The tease came when Shaiman informed Diversity recently that he and fellow musician impresario Scott Wittman have been “working on the next season of ‘Just Murder in the Building.'”
“We’re not allowed to say anything more than that, but you can probably do the math,” the Grammy award-winning lyricist was quick to add. As Wittman and Shaiman’s latest project — a musical adaptation of the 1959 film, “Some Like It Hot” — is a hit on Broadway, earning 13 Tony nominations this year, “OMITB” fans can expect a good time if they work on an episode of the mystery series.

So far, viewers have had Streep’s addition to look forward to, a feat reaffirmed by Gomez’s post of gyrating the veteran actress. According to The Blast, the 30-year-old singer-songwriter has uploaded a photo of her and the 73-year-old gazing lovingly at each other on Instagram.
The “Wizards of Waverly” wore a shiny gold dress adorned with a black collar and teardrop earrings. At the same time, his legendary counterpart wore an oversized coat with a shimmering black lapel over what appeared to be a blue dress. She tamed her blonde hair with a big 360 braid and added black earrings. For the caption, Gomez wrote:

Diversity reported that two of the event’s participants shared that Short and Martin had led to a moment when they updated the audience on their latest project. After they showed a photo of Gomez with Streep and Rudd, Martin stated, “Catch the new season on August 8.”
The revelation was followed by Short replying, “Our show is like Steve trying to pee – it’s running for 33 minutes.” Unfortunately, no audience member was able to catch the event on camera, so there is no visual evidence.
Even so, fans are excited about the return of the show, which follows the comedy duo in their roles as Charles-Haden Savage [Martin]Oliver Putnam [Short]and Gomez as Mabel Mora.
The three, neighbors in Arconia – an Upper West Side building – form a friendship born out of their love of true crime podcasts and end up starting their own when mysterious murders happen around them.
For the first season, they unravel the murder of their fellow resident Tim Kono [played by Julian Cihi]. They did it again for Bunny Folger [Jayne Houdyshell]president of the building board, in season 2.
