Looking back on her journey, Winfrey shared insights she gained from conversations with doctors, recognizing “obesity as a disease” influenced by genetic factors.

Not everyone who eats a lot and shows up with extra weight has that gene or carries that tendency.”

Weight loss, gain back. And what I realized when I heard what the doctor said was that you’re always going to put it back on, and it’s like holding your breath underwater and trying not to come up. You will always rise.”
