Oprah Winfrey has some advice for the Duke & Duchess of Sussex!
The famous popular talk show host interviewed Prince Harry & Meghan Markle in 2021 when they decided to step back from their royal duties. With rumors swirling about the couple’s invitation to King Charles’ coronation, the star offered her perspective on the matter during a recent interview.
Oprah Winfrey Weighs in on Harry and Meghan’s Possible Attendance at the Coronation
During an appearance on “CBS Mornings” with longtime friend Gayle King, the television icon was asked her opinion on whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend King Charles’ coronation on May 6.
The show’s host, who was a guest at Markle’s baby shower in 2019, said, “It has been reported that Harry and Meghan have accepted an invitation to the coronation. Do you think they should go? Do you think they shouldn’t go? Is it something you would like to comment on?” Oprah wisely responded:
“I think they should do what they think is best for them and their families. That’s what I think. That’s what it comes down to — What do you feel is the best thing for you?”
The 69-year-old said with a smile that they had yet to ask his opinion. Whether they were invited in the first place, their spokeswoman told The Sunday Times in a statement said:
“I can confirm that The Duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty’s office regarding the coronation. An immediate decision on whether the Duke and Duchess will attend will not be revealed by us at this time.”
Fans will recall that after retiring from their senior royal roles, the couple moved their family to California, Markle’s home state, in 2020. Oprah supported their decision at the time and told TMZ:
“I support them 1,000 percent. You know why I support them? I support them because I believe when you think about these things for as long as they have — and also in the Queen’s statement [she] said, ‘This has been going on for months,’ this discussion has been going on for months.”
He also sympathizes with Prince Harry, who he believes is having a hard time choosing a new path, noting that it takes courage to let go of everything you know to pursue a new life.
In a comprehensive interview he conducted with the couple in March 2021, the 41-year-old shared his experience of not receiving support when he had suicidal thoughts and how his son Archie was denied a title and royal protection.

Additionally, she revealed that there were “concerns and conversations” about her baby’s skin color even before she was born. Not only that, but earlier this year, the relationship that may have been forged after the TV interview became more strained when the 38-year-old released his memoirs.
King Charles III Reportedly Requests Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Eviction From Frogmore Cottage
Things seem to be heating up, as according to a report by The Blast, King Charles III has Prince Harry and Meghan Markle evicted from their UK home at Frogmore Cottage.
The move appears to signal his frustration with his son and daughter-in-law and his desire for them to no longer have residence in the UK. Sun shared that this may be a result of the release of Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare” in January. Because just days after that, Buckingham Palace allegedly issued an eviction notice to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The memoir recounts her life in the Royal Family and includes both positive and negative experiences. The publication claims that the Palace wants to replace the couple with the King’s brother, Prince Andrew, who is tied to Jeffrey Epstein’s underage sex ring.
Although the offer seemed generous, reports suggested Prince Andrew rejected the move. However, it is rumored that the couple will still be forced to vacate Frogmore Cottage and complete their move to the US, regardless of whether or not they decide to move.
