Oscar ‘Bladerunner’ Pistorius warned he could be assassination target after he’s released from prison

Convicted murderer and former Olympic athlete Oscar “Bladerunner” Pistorius has been warned he could be targeted for assassination after his release from prison this Friday, sources said.

It is alleged that Pistorius was told by the police that he could be killed in retaliation for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. Threats are said to come from world figures who are reported to sympathize with the family of the slain girl.

Pistorius will live in a cottage, or three-story mansion, on the fortified compound of his uncle, Arnold, in Pretoria, South Africa. The complex has armed guards, electronic defenses and reportedly several “attack dogs.” It is located in the exclusive suburb of Waterkloof, an area famous for its embassy housing, overlooking Pretoria.

Steenkamp’s father, Barry, died last year, but his mother, June, has criticized Pistorius for never showing remorse. Two amputees killed Steenkamp by pumping four bullets from a handgun through the bathroom door he was occupying.

Pistorius claimed he was startled by the noise and thought he was an intruder. Neighbors claimed they heard an argument coming from the direction of the house before they heard the gunshots. The prosecution said Steenkamp hid in the bathroom from Pistorius.

Pressure group Women for Change this week tweeted, “Oscar Pistorius is a murderer and he is in prison to serve his full sentence. Justice is never done. He never took it into account.”

During the murder trial, a man who confessed to the murder and reported Steenkamps friend showed up one day and was seen by Fox News Digital staring at Pistorius in court, but said nothing in the courtroom and would not speak to him. This reporter is outside.

Pistorius was supposed to leave prison and be sent straight to his uncle’s house.

Singabakho Nxumalo of the Department of Correctional Services appeared to lend credence to the alleged threat to Pistorius’s life in a statement when he said, “Details in terms of transport plans and time of release will not be made public. Disclosing such details could result in a security threat to prisoners and other stakeholders involved.”

His statement continued, “South Africa has opted for a victim-centred criminal justice system. As a result, prisoners and parolees were never paraded. Therefore, the media choosing to camp outside any correctional facility may not be prevented from carrying out their work, according to their line of duty, but it will not be possible for them to obtain photographs or moving visuals of Pistorius.”

Part of Pistorius’ parole conditions state that he cannot profit in any way from Steenkamp’s death. Officially, there is no fat screening for TV or book deals. A Correctional Service statement added, “Like other parolees, Pistorius is restricted from conducting media interviews. General parole conditions will apply to Pistorius. For example, he is expected to be at home at a certain time of the day. He cannot consume alcohol and other prohibited substances.”

And then there’s the issue of anger management.

In court, texts from Steenkamp to Pistorius were read out, stating: “I’m scared of you sometimes, how you snap at me.”

In the months before Steenkamp’s death, a friend of Pistorius was reportedly concerned about his character and whether he should be allowed to own a licensed firearm.

The man spoke to Fox News Digital anonymously, for his personal safety.

It is unclear whether any anger issues have been resolved, but parole conditions reportedly also include Pistorius must attend anger management training. He will serve parole until at least late 2029.
