In an interview with Metal Hammer Magazine, Ozzy, 74, spoke about his desire to return to playing and how much he misses the thrill of performing live.
“I mean, performing live is what I live for,” he said. “I had to cancel my 2023 European tour, but I am determined to get back on stage.”
“The Diary of A Madman” singer explained that he needs to do more gigs and doesn’t mind being pushed around in a wheelchair.
“I mean, you can’t retire from the game. It’s not work; it’s very passionate. I don’t know what else to do.”

In February, the legendary Black Sabbath singer announced that he would retire from touring and cancel all of his upcoming shows as he continues to recover. The rock star has struggled with a number of medical problems, including Parkinson’s disease and a spinal injury he suffered in an accident.
Ozzy acknowledged his fans and apologized to them, stating that he “never imagined” that his tour days would end the way they did.
