Music star Ozzy Osbourne recently revealed that he promised himself he would never take acid again after a terrifying drug trip left him talking to horses for over an hour in a field. He humorously shared that at the end of their chat, the horse asked him to “stop.”
Osbourne has battled alcohol and drug abuse for years and spoke of how he once swallowed handfuls of the drug at once. Osbourne is facing more difficult problems in old age, such as his declining health.
Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019 and has also suffered two serious accidents that affected his spine and back, for which he has undergone numerous surgeries. Health issues also affected his music career, and he was forced to stop performing and postpone touring indefinitely.

follow Daily Star, Osbourne shared the acid trip that made him promise himself not to use the drug again. The 73-year-old rock star explained, “At that time in America, people really liked to lace your drink with acid. I didn’t care.”
He said that he was a heavy user who “used to swallow a handful of tabs at a time.” However, he finally gave it all up after he returned to England after the trip. He said, “I took ten tubs of acid then went for a walk in the field. I ended up standing there talking to this horse for about an hour.”
Osbourne said that after a long conversation that he doesn’t remember, the horse “turned around and told me to go. That was it for me.” And after that experience, Osbourne said he never went near class A drugs again.

He Could Be Paralyzed For Life
One of Osbourne’s main health problems is his spine. The “No More Tears” singer recently revealed that there is a possibility that she could be paralyzed for life as a result of her spinal injury. He recently returned to the stage for the first time in months, for the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, after undergoing life-changing surgery two months ago.
Osbourne’s spinal injuries began with a quad bike accident in 2003, in which he broke a vertebra in his neck and eight ribs. Then, he suffered another severe fall in 2019, which aggravated the injuries from his accident in 2003. In 2019, he was also diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, although the symptoms were mild.

Osbourne has had several spinal surgeries, which have put a lot of screws in his back and give him severe nerve pain in his neck, shoulders, arms and back. After his first surgery, Osbourne told Sun that doctors told him he had a “good chance of being paralyzed” for the rest of his life.

His Failing Health Has Affected His Wife And His Career

Osbourne also spoke to him Sun about the effect his declining health had on his wife, Sharon, and his career. He said, “I’ve never been laid this bad for so long. It’s broken Sharon’s heart to see me like this but I’ll be back on tour if it kills me.”
The “Crazy Train” singer’s last tour was in December 2018, and it was part of his farewell tour, “No More Tours II.” Osbourne’s health and the COVID-19 pandemic eventually forced him to cancel the 2018 and 2019 tours, and they will resume in 2023 possibly.

Osbourne recently spoke about his health to Entertainment Tonight at San Diego Comic-Con. He said, “I love seeing people, you know. It’s been the hardest thing in the last three years, because I’ve been trying to recover from my surgery.”
Osbourne stated that he is on the mend and is doing his best to regain his health. He said, “I’ll get there. It’s a slow climb back, you know?” After her surgery in June, Osbourne posted a tribute on her Twitter.
The tweet read, “I am now home from the hospital recovering comfortably. I am definitely feeling the love and support from all my fans and thank everyone so much for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes as I recover.”
