“I was called by my manager the day before yesterday, and I was offered a fight, a boxing match – and I accepted it,” VanZant revealed on “The Kickass Love Story” podcast. “I don’t know if I can give all the details. I haven’t signed a contract yet. I accept the fight. At first, the date they offered me was March 23, which was like, ‘Perfect. Hell yes. I’ll get one more game before I turn 30 because I’m 30 (on) March 26.’ I told my manager, I was like, ‘F— yeah, I’ll take it. I’m going back into boxing.’ I am very excited. The opportunity was really good, so I was like, ‘Perfect.’ (It’s an) eight-week camp, so I won’t have a long time to stress or overthink or anything like that. I was like, ‘That’s perfect.’”
