Parmeet Sethi is an Indian film actor, director, and writer. He made his debut in the superhit Bollywood film, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (1995) as Kuljeet Singh.

Parmeet meets Archana Puran Singh for the first time at a friend’s party. It was love at first sight for Parmeet Sethi. In an interview Parmeet said,
For me, it was attraction at first sight. Archana charmed me with her beauty and grace. Archana’s honest nature and complete transparency of thinking have impressed me.
After this party, they started hanging out more often. Archana was quite reluctant to start a relationship with Parmeet after her failed marriage with her first husband. Later, the couple started dating and decided to move into a direct relationship. After four years of live-in relationship, the couple eloped and got married on 30 June 1991 or 30 June 1992. Initially, Parmeet’s parents were unhappy with their marriage as Archana was seven years older than Parmeet and had been divorced. Parmeet and Archana did not announce their marriage publicly even after four years of their marriage. In an interview, Parmeet said,
Every relationship starts with friendship, and friendship starts with trust. When a partner compromises this element of trust and honesty, a rift is created. We were in a live relationship for four years, and then when we got married we didn’t announce our marriage for another four years because it wasn’t that important to us. Marriage is a label given to a relationship. It is actually love, which shows that after this, two people exclusively belong to each other. We were both standing next to each other when we decided to stay. Maybe we won’t get married, but to give our children an identity, we thought of tying the knot. However, we still remain best friends to this day.”

After making his debut as an actor in the popular Bollywood film, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (1995), he has appeared in various Bollywood films such as ‘Diljale’ (1996), ‘Dhadkan’ (2000), ‘Om Jai Jagadish’ (2002), ‘Lakshya’ (2004′ (D2004), ‘D2004 Rustom’ (2016).
