Former model and 1960s fashion icon Pattie Boyd is tweeting, and classic rock fans’ tongues are wagging!
Boyd was married to both the late Beatle George Harrison and rock icon Eric Clapton at different times. Harrison and rocker Cream were famously friends, and the “My Sweet Lord” singer later gave her approval to her relationship with Boyd in the late Seventies.
Boyd and Harrison tied the knot during the height of Beatlemania in 1966 and divorced 11 years later. Clapton and Boyd were married for a decade between 1979 and ’89.
Boyd, now 79, has been quite open about both her past relationships with both men, and she continues to reference them online. The “Wonderful Tonight” author recently took to Twitter and cryptically tweeted about her ex-husband!
Boyd Shares Details of His Life With Harrison In Newly Released Photography Book
Boyd has been a fixture in front of the camera in the past, and now he’s compiled pictures from his rock ‘n’ roll life into a photographic collection.
We reported on Boyd’s “My Life In Pictures” when it was released in October. While promoting the book, she shared details about her marriage to the ‘Quiet Beatle’. The Blast also commemorated Harrison’s 80th birthday last October. Harrison died of throat cancer in November 2001.
Boyd and Harrison’s marriage was not always perfect. She didn’t hold back during an interview with El Pais about the years she spent married to Harrison.
“I don’t miss those times,” he says bluntly, referring to the famous time when The Beatles experimented with meditation in India in the late sixties. Harrison was a big fan of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi because the group and their wives studied transcendental meditation. According to The Beatles Bible, Boyd became fascinated with Eastern philosophy and religion after he went on holiday to Bombay in 1966.
“It’s living in a bubble, surrounded by famous people, where all doors are open to you. But until today I live a wonderful life…” he told the outlet.
Boyd goes deeper into his memories of his marriage to the “Yer Blues” singer. He would tell the Telegraph that the two lived a “ridiculous and painful life” together.
Although he did not recall the details of his marriage to Clapton during the aforementioned recent promo interview, Clapton has openly discussed their marriage in the past. He would dispute his ex-wife’s account of their marriage that he wrote on “Wonderful Tonight” while promoting his own memoir in the late 2000s.
“We each have our own version of our year together,” Clapton told the New York Times in 2007. He shared his own account of the story Boyd told in “Wonderful Tonight” in which the two men allegedly battled it out over his guitar playing. . fight
“I went just to hang out, he got two guitars, and we played,” he told the publication. “But we’ve always done that, so how do you turn everyday things into commodities?”
The publication also reported Boyd echoed Clapton’s sentiments about their marriage. He said in an email, “[Clapton is] it’s fair enough to say we each have our memories of our years together.”

Boyd also referred to himself and Clapton as “friends” in the aforementioned New York Times interview. He recently referenced the two on Twitter in a hilarious way!
According to Stereogum, Boyd quoted a tweet from Return of Rock asking followers to choose between the two musicians. He wrote, “Now THERE is a question,,,,,,,”
Writer Justin Kryk tweeted“The rest of the Twittersphere is holding Pattie’s beer until the end of time.”
“Ms. Boyd won Twitter today,” one fan wrote declared.
“Arguably the most legitimate judge of us all,” one follower weighed.
Some Instagram users in the comments section of Stereogum’s post wondered if some commenters weren’t aware of the hilarity surrounding Boyd’s tweet!
“Does anyone in the comments understand why it’s funny that Pattie Boyd is the one reposting this?” one user asked. “But yes the answer is Harrison all day and it’s not that close.”
“Y’all are missing the point of the post,” echoed another user. “Look who posted it.”
