The comic asked his doctor to perform the necessary procedure. After an X-ray, he was diagnosed with “recovering COVID.” The discovery made O’Grady worry that he would never recover, and things got worse when he had to take time off work because of lingering symptoms. The narrator became “very ill” after filming the second series of Sally Lindsay’s The Madame Blanc Mysteries in Malta:

“I was able to avoid COVID until last year, when I got infected.” I didn’t get it at all because I was sick. It exhausted me completely. I was shocked at how horrible I was. It took me about two months to recover. “I have lost my breath.”

Paul O Grady allegedly spent the summer recovering from health problems on his farm in Kent:

“I’d go out to feed the pigs and have to stop two or three times on the way there, wheezing.” I did nothing but sleep. I would wake up, go downstairs, relax on the couch, and then fall asleep for four hours.”

The comic continued to expand on his act, saying he “felt terrible” about his health:

“I would get out of bed, have a cup of tea, then go back to bed and sleep through the night; it was weird.”I just felt horrible about it. I’ve never slept so long in my life. I’ve done all the shots, but it was the last nail in the coffin.”

O Grady also recalled feeling like he was “dead” after experiencing the initial symptoms:

“We finished one day of shooting, and that night I was a little down, and the next day I felt like I was going to die.” I had terrible pain and a terrible wheezing. I stayed nine days in a dorm room, slowly rounding the corner.”

“Thank God I’m over it now, but there are times when I wonder, ‘Will this go away?'” ‘Will I regain my energy and stop being tired?’ It was not a good experience.”
