Model Paulina Porizkova continues to share her candid thoughts with her Instagram followers in a new post she shared with her fans late Wednesday afternoon.

In her latest musings, the 59-year-old model continues to ponder body insecurities in the face of aging and what beauty really means.

In her latest Instagram post, the former Sports Illustrated cover model directly reached out to her Instagram followers, writing, “When I posted about my insecurities – so many of you commented with ‘if you think it’s hard for you, then what about us common people? ‘”

“People make the assumption that external validation builds confidence,” he wrote. “But confidence comes from being validated as a person. Heard and loved. Being considered beautiful cancels out everything about you. Beauty becomes your calling card.”

“This is confirmation of just the way you look. Every imperfection, every little flaw is pointed out and discussed as if it were the most important,” she continued. “What else lies beneath the smooth coating of beauty is irrelevant.”

“People think that if they have what is not given to them, their life will be great. But you are still you, shaped by your upbringing, shaped by circumstances, polished by the passing of time,” he continued. “How you feel about yourself has nothing to do with how other people see you.”

Less than a week ago, the beloved European model shared a new photo of herself on Instagram, covering herself in just a sheet, while sharing some more candid musings with her followers on social media.

“Is it objective or celebratory?” he started “A little weekend food for thought…”

“In a patriarchal society, women are always seen as objects of desire or care. Because this is the need of the man who runs the world,” he wrote. “This is why youth and beauty are strong currencies.”

“Given these social guidelines – I wonder if the objective falls mainly on the youth,” he continued. “When I was a young model exposing my body, it was because other people approved of it. Others decided it would be celebrated.”
