Frankly, we doubt any other man could pull off this look so well. Technically, it is “wrong” on many levels if fashion magazines and their “rules” are to be believed. Red shirts, layers of red coats, black and red pairings, ties with shorts, and heeled patent boots are often fashion no-nos. But somehow, Pascal made it all work.
Valentino Pascal’s outfit featured a red double woolen oversized coat with a scarf and a red poplin oversized shirt over black woolen shorts. It also features a black silk faille tie with a gold metal V, paired with black stockings and black patent combat boots with heels.
“The Last of Us” star accessorized her look with multiple gold rings that complemented her slicked-back hair, tousled unshaven face and trademark mischievous smile.
Somehow, Pascal made this look work for her despite the Met Gala theme being “In honor of Karl,” as in fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld. Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute curator Andrew Bolton said he hopes celebrity guests will celebrate “Karl’s spirit, and hopefully everyone will show up with vintage Chanel, vintage Fendi, vintage Chloé.”
