“Honestly, I’ve never struggled with material,” admits Badgley. “Blake doesn’t drink, and I think our relationship in some ways saved me from forcing myself to go down that road.”

Instead of participating in dangerous activities, Badgley traveled, explored Buddhism, and meditated.

Badgley admits he feels isolated and isn’t sure who he can trust.

“I’ve never been anything that I would define as suicidal at all, but I’ve definitely given up,” he said. “It has to do with ‘Do me thing? Do I matter? Is there something important?’ These questions tell us how we feel. The answer I got was ‘Yes.’ I think we all have to come there. I don’t know how you can come to ‘No’ and be happy, so we all have to come to that ‘Yes’ somehow. Maybe over and over.”

The “Easy A” actor is now reprising his role as the murderous “Joe Goldberg” in the fourth season of “You.”

Fans of the show know his character, “Joe,” took part in many sex scenes last season; however, this season is different.

Badgley serves as a producer on this season of “You” and asked that sex scenes be kept to a minimum in honor of his marriage to Domino Kirke-Badgley.

“It’s not a place where I’ve blurred the lines,” he said. “There is hardly anything I can say with more devotion. That aspect of Hollywood has always really bothered me – and that aspect of the job, that lively frontier – has always been something that I really didn’t want to play at all.”
